‘An Evening with Vince Miller and Paul Mizen’
Paul also works with the renowned Vince Miller. Together, they provide a unique blend of comedy and song. They can provide an evening of entertainment for regular social functions or special events that require that extra something to help make a truly great night. They entertained Withington Golf Club at their Annual Dinner Dance with Paul singing throughout the evening followed by Vince with his inimitable style of repartee and telling comic stories. Vince also sang a number of his favourite songs, showing what a great performer he truly is.
A great night was had by all when Paul and Vince performed together again at Puccini’s Restaurant in Swinton to help celebrate the birthday of the wife of Manchester United’s goal keeping legend – Alex Stepney.
The Bridge Hotel in Prestbury had a sell out evening when they put on a wonderful three course menu for their evening of Comedy & Song. Romiley Golf Club's members had a similarly successful evening.
Other events, including some for charities like the evening held at Houldsworth Golf Club, have been fully supported while Vince and Paul were delighted to be asked to perform at Harvey's special birthday celebration.
Vince has been a full time entertainer for more than 40 years. He has worked with Tom Jones, The Three Degrees, Dionne Warwick, Johnny Mathis, Jack Jones and many others.
He is not only a fine singer who starred with one of the major big bands but has all round versatility. Whether it is cabaret, as an after dinner presenter or host of corporate events, Vince can turn an event into a very special occasion. At a recent “Help for Heroes” fundraiser at the Grosvenor Hotel in London his auctioneering skills raised £158,000 on the evening.
His sporting connections are legendary. In the world of cricket he has been the northern host of Lords Taverners fundraising events which have featured celebrities such as Geoffrey Boycott and Clive Lloyd. Vince also has firm and lasting links with Lancashire County Cricket Club at player and leading official level.
He has close ties with Manchester United FC and near neighbours Manchester City. His primary role at both these leading clubs has been that of host of their corporate hospitality operations and for the last 17 years Vince has hosted the prestigious P.F.A. Awards Ceremony at The Grosvenor Hotel in London. Compering Sportsman’s Dinners has meant that he has kept close contact with many celebrities such as: Sir Bobby Charlton and his brother Jack; Sir Geoff Hurst, Nobby Stiles; Kevin Keegan; Peter Shilton and Denis Law to name but a few.
To keep the sporting connection going Vince was delighted to host the wedding of the daughter of former Manchester United and England captain, Bryan Robson.

Sir Alex Ferguson recently celebrated his 25th Anniversary as the manager of Manchester United Football Club. Functions were held to celebrate this milestone at The Alderley Edge Hotel and The Hilton in Manchester with Vince preciding over both.
Vince and Paul will be presenting their own radio show on Radio Starlion. This is a radio station that is provided for patients at Stepping Hill Hospital, having been set up 35 years ago by The Sockport Lions. It is run by a wonderful group of volounteers and Vince and Paul were delighted to be given the opportunity to join the team. They are currently being trained by Alan Swallow and Dave Carter but coincidentally Vince was involved in the very first broadcast.
